Kenneth Ronald Lambert Hall was born in 1917, and was a noted biologist, zoologist and psychologist, particularly in the field of animal psychology. During World War II, he served in the Middle East and Germany from 1940 - 1945 as a Captain in the Royal Artillery. He was a lecturer in and Professor of Psychology at the University of Bristol from 1959, and head of the Department of Experimental and Clinical Psychology at Bristol Mental Hospital between 1949 and 1954.
